Welcome to Forge Saint John!

Welcome to Forge—where it’s safe to be exactly who you are!
Our goal is to get to know each youth individually; to understand who you are and the supports you need to achieve your goals and to build your own sense of self and community.
We provide a space of acceptance and inclusion while helping youth to connect with the services you seek.

What we do

We offer mental health support, primary care services, daily well-being and social activities as well as one on one support from friendly staff who have experience navigating life struggles, accessing services and growing healthy relationships. We work closely with other community based agencies to partner and provide services and connections youth require.

Forge Social Drop-in

Various activities geared towards youth aged 18-24 focusing on wellbeing, creativity, building relationship, growing social skills and improving confidence.

Forge Peer Support

Finding connection with Forge team members, who have a wide variety of lived experience, to provide one-on-one support and guidance to the youth of our community.

Forge Primary Care Services

Providing an easy connection to Nurse Practitioners 2 days a week, by appointment.

The Zone/Teen Resource Centre (TRC) Drop-in

After school drop-in for high school aged youth (aged 13-18) in a fun, accepting space to build relationships and enjoy time with friends.

Pathways to Education

Program for high school aged youth that provides connection to Youth Advisors who assist in setting and working towards achieving educational goals, post secondary exploration and free tutoring services.

Alumni Advisor

Assisting graduates in navigating post secondary options as well as employment goals.

Teen Resource Centre (TRC) Case Management

Providing youth led goal setting opportunities as well as support and guidance to youth navigating their journey of independence- system navigation, community connections/support and housing support options.

Teen Resource Centre (TRC) Oasis

Providing hygiene, snack options and shower & laundry services for youth who are unhoused, living in unsafe situations, underemployed, or otherwise in need.

Forge Saint John is Hosted by the Teen Resource Centre (TRC)

We are located on 28 Richmond Street in the Teen Resource Centre building. Once in the lobby we are through the doors to the left and around the corner (passing Case Management offices and “The Zone”. Look for the big FORGE Logo, our door is on that wall.

There are various other programs happening within the Teen Resource Centre (TRC), so Forge staff may not be here for that entire time. Actual Forge appointments and programming hours vary.

Corey Haines

Operations Manager


Corey has been working in the field for over 20 years; supporting youth in setting goals, strengthening their connections to community and advocating for change. In his spare time, he enjoys finding moments to unwind with art, music, yoga and spending time with family.
 

Megan McFawn

Clinical Coordinator


Megan is a social worker and provides mental health support and system navigation to the youth and young adults at the Teen Resource Centre. Outside of work, Megan enjoys nature, animals and making delicious celiac safe food!

Cassia Nicoles

she/her

Peer Support Worker


As someone with lived experience with mental health and neurodivergence, Cassia is passionate about supporting youth who are facing similar challenges and helping them feel like they are not alone. In her spare time, Cassia enjoys reading a good thriller novel, spin class and spending time with her sister.

Becky Weston

Youth/Peer Support


With over 20 years of experience supporting a variety of diverse youth, I am committed to creating safe, encouraging spaces where young people can truly thrive and be themselves. My passion lies in guiding the next generation with empathy, understanding, and the dedicated care they need to navigate life’s challenges and discover their full potential.

Rylan Adams

Peer Support Worker


As a graduate student, Rylan has a passion for supporting the educational and occupational endeavours of our clients. In his spare time, Rylan enjoys fitness training, golfing, and spending time with his family.
